It's been a year -- give or take several days -- since I've been on here. It's hard for me to adjust, navigate and maintain the transition from Facebook to blogging. But I figured that it doesn't hurt to try and have another go at this. Throughout the year, I've been swamped with my first two semesters at Southern Methodist University, where I'm majoring in English and minoring in human rights. I've also joined the Texas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty...
In other news, I've been keeping up with taking pictures of every little aspect of my life with my Nikon D90. Back in January, JJ and I took in two of four cats that we rescued from his old apartment complex. Prior to that, all the cats were living with my sister Christine's boyfriend, Jesus. Shortly thereafter, we adopted Mochi from PetSmart. Don't let her good looks fool you; she's a beast.
JJ and I moved into a new apartment, thank goodness. So, no more roommate drama for us -- yay! We celebrated our two-year anniversary this year on the 8th of April and he got me my favorite kind of flowers -- roses.
In the meantime, I got two more tattoos! I got "live to the point of tears" on my rib (right side) and a quote from Twelfth Night on my left shoulder. Oh yeah, I also got my belly pierced :)
My sister also got her belly pierced and got a tattoo, as well. Her tattoo is a quote from The Kite Runner: "For you a thousand times over."
Pictures = a thousand words, right? I think this sums it up for now :)

I am a secular humanist who loves to cook, read, venture & spend time with my one man entourage, Jeremiah Bigley.
I enjoy not being a racist, sexist, homophobic, specieist, ignorant, violent, apathetic, docile, banal, unopinionated, or rude person. I like to disrupt the narrative pace :)
There is no such thing as a lesser person.
